Dave Evans and Riverbend
Born in Portsmouth, OH and
raised in Columbus, OH, Dave has been an avid lover of
Bluegrass Music since the age of eight. He sings bluegrass with an
intensity that seems to have eluded most singers of the present
generation. He has the ability to wring every ounce of emotion from a
song. Dave’s voice is unique and when he’s singing you know
it’s Dave Evans.
Very traditional, Dave writes many of his own songs. He
has worked with Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers singing tenor,
Red Allen and The Kentuckians, The Boys from Indiana, and The Goins
Brothers. In '78 he decided to form his own band, Dave Evans and Riverbend.
